Onward! next steps, next stages

September 1 marked the effective date of new promotions, when 27 Extension educators officially reached the next step on their career ladder. Four Extension employees entered a new stage of life when they retired on August 31, joining 16 additional FY16 retirees. Congratulations to all the following individuals!

PROMOTIONS (effective September 1, 2016)

To County Extension Agent IV (the highest level)—Chad Coburn, Sterling County; Chadwick Gulley, Smith County; and Dwight Sexton, Gonzales County.

To County Extension Agent III—Rhonda Cummins, Calhoun County; Sonja Davis, Harris County; David Groschke, Limestone County; Jana Osbourn, Kendall County; and Jamie Sugg Jr., Rusk County.

To County Extension Agent II—Sonia Coyle, Travis County; Nick Gonzales, Brown County, Wendy Hazzard, Wheeler County; Jennifer Herrera, Cameron County; Heath Lusty, Lampasas County;  Tonya McKenzie, Harris County; Sheryl Raley, Bell County; Vidal Saenz, Hidalgo County; and Charles Seely Jr., Washington County.

To Professor—Russell Wallace, horticulture.

To Associate Professor—Megan Clayton, ecosystem science and management; Rebekka Dudensing, agricultural economics; Cheryl Grenwelge, family and community health (formerly FDRM); James S. Kamas, horticulture; and Lakshmi Mahadevan, family and community health (formerly FDRM).

To Extension Program Specialist III (the highest level)—Molly Keck, entomology-IPM.

To Extension Program Specialist II—Rebecca Dittmar, nutrition and food science; Sandra Pierce, agricultural economics; and John Smith, soil and crop sciences.
