Ag Is America launches new website

As a showcase for land-grant university research, news, and impact, this website includes Extension education success stories from across the country. It also features a new video that advocates for Farm Bill funding support.

On June 15, we received this announcement and request for help from kglobal, the public affairs and public relations group that administers the site.

“Today we’re excited to share some good news with you: We are officially launching our new Ag Is America website. Additionally, we’re rolling out our first video to help demonstrate the importance and necessity of land-grant universities.

The video is part of a system-wide effort to support advocacy for additional funds in the upcoming Farm Bill. Here’s how you and your fellow land-grant university communicators can help:

  • Share our video (1:46) on social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). We have drafted sample copy for you below:
    • Facebook: We research today, to impact your tomorrow. Watch this video showing the importance of #LGUimpact: bit.ly/agisamerica
    • Twitter: We research today, to impact your tomorrow. Check out this video highlighting our #LGUimpact: bit.ly/agisamerica #AgAction
  • Share through other communication channels such as your website or blog. The YouTube video is available here for you to embed.

… In sharing the video, we only ask that you keep the bit.ly link (bit.ly/agisamerica) so we can track metrics against the video.

As always, please let us know if you have any questions or if you need any assistance/ideas in sharing the video. We again are very excited for this new campaign and look forward to hearing your thoughts about the video (and our new website!).” — Terri Baumann, account executive, kglobal, kglobal.com/terri-baumann
